Tashkent / Shymkent border crossing by train

Hi,
I read many posts about Uzbekistan / Kazakhstan border crossing but I haven't understood if I can do it by train. Someone knows how does the train line Tashkent / Shymkent works ?

As far as I have understood, it's quite easy but not very fast.

You can find train schedules on www.bahn.de, that database usually is quire reliable even for that part of the world - spell the cities "Tashkent" and "Chimkent".

Also, this might be helpful, but I can't tell you which of those trains goes via Shymkent:
