Tajikistan - need a Letter of Invitation?

Country forums / Central Asia / Tajikistan

Hi All,

I'm planning on going to a few Central Asian countries including Tajikistan over a month next year.

I'm British so have been reviewing the entry requirements on the embassy's site in London (http://www.tajembassy.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=29&Itemid=17); however I am likely to get the visa when in a neighbouring country.

I understand that different embassies sometimes have different requirements, but my question is whether a letter of invitation or other document (say, from a tour company) is normally required alongside the application form for a multiple entry visa? The Embassy's website is not clear on that..

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Cristian

There was an issue in 2011 that you needed a LOI, but it seems no embassy is still following this rule, meaning, you do not need a loi. You can read more about the whole process here .

Great, thanks. That site looks very good too!

I'm way out of date now (2010) but the embassy/consulate in London (near Hammersmith tube) was really helpful. Getting Central Asian visas in neighbouring countries is often quite troublesome.
