Syrian visa for Poles resident in UK - available in London ?

Does anyone have any experience of getting a Syrian tourist visa at the Syrian Embassy in London with a Polish passport (for a Pole permanently resident in UK)?

Or does the application have to be made in Warsaw ? (I hope not)

I'd be grateful for any reliable information you may have
