Ok guys, I know we've done the syrian visa question a hundred times, but I've got a little twist on an old classic. I'm a British citizen, living in Vancouver, Canada. I've been here for about 4 years now, as a permanent resident - I'm not yet a citizen so I don't have a Canadian Passport. So do I get my Syrian visa from the consulate in Vancouver, or London? Because this is really unclear! Thanks everyone! :)
You can get it from the consulate in Vancouver - If that consulate issues visas at all that is - are you sure it isn't just an honorary consulate ? If it is, you'll probably have to send your passport to the embassy in Ottawa. | 1
There is no Syrian consulate in Vancouver. The Embassy is in Ottawa. You can Google their website. The staff is helpful if you choose to phone them. | 2
If you have Canadian residency, then you must get your visa from Ottawa (even if you approach the Syrian Embassy in London, I think they'd direct you to Ottawa anyhow). | 3
Thanks all! | 4 | |
Hi! I am German citizen, resident in Denmark. There is no embassy in Denmark, and the website of the Syrian embassy in Sweden says that Danish nationals can obtain their visa on the border because of that. What about Germans living in Denmark? Does this apply for me then, too? Or do I have to get a visa at the embassy in Germany? In my case they couldn't say that I have to get a visa in Denmark. Thank you in advance for your comments! | 5
With Syrian visas there is always the official and unofficial. | 6
