Swimming in Iran

Hello everyone,

i realize that Iran is not exactly the place to go swimming , nevertheless i wonder if there are any other "beaches" in the Gulf except Kish and Qeshm islands ? Thanks

Up north there is Caspian sea (biggest lake on the planet so they call it sea)
It's a very very beautiful place. Very long beach right along the mountain. It's all green. There are lots of places there that you can enjoy. It's got some breath taking views.
About swimming, for ladies they have a private place and for guys you just need to find a place away from families so you can swim without violating their Islamic rules.

about North, as I told you the beach is very long, but you can go to Ramsar city. You can use the "Chaloos" road because it's all trees, very beautiful nature.
You can go to "Namak Abrood" and get on the cable car. You won't believe what's up there.
Or you can go (or fly) to "Bandar Anzali" City (Bandar means port) and go along the beach to East.
There are lots of rental house by the beach or hotels You can choose from.
Swimming, there are lots of spots, there are also sports centers that you can rent jet motors.

Down south on the Gulf, your best bet are the 2 islands. There are sports centers that you can go for diving. I'm sure you Will enjoy it.
The important question is in what time of the year are you planning to be there? If it's now I suggest you enjoy the nice weather at Kish island because it's not cold now.
You can also count on having a good time by Caspian Sea. The tree leafs are green, brown, red, yellow, pink, Orange, etc. The beauty is undescribable. But don't count on swimming much at this time of the year.

Thanks for useful hints for Caspian shore, i will definitely check them.. i plan to go in may-june, those two islands are already quite detour from my planned itinerary. I thought something more to the north, e.g. around Bandar Bushehr, are there also any beaches by chance ?

Well when there is a sea there is a beach. Don't get your hopes high though, because they're not fancy. The only reasonably good beach with services is in Kish. There are 2 beaches, one for ladies and one for men (not next to eachother).

I suggest you go an non-touristic route in coast of southern seas of Iran.
Go Chabahar and drive toward Qeshm island in coast of Oman Sea.
This road isn't crowded and you can do swimming without any obtrusive .
The coast is really beautiful and clean.

Siraf and Bushehr have good beaches.

There is the Caspian as well, but have never been in season and can't comment.
