surfing in north west france

hey

im going to be in the north west of france at the end of july and i know theres some surf spots around there and i'd really like to go surfing up there. but i dont have any gear...so im wondering if anyone knows if theres places to rent boards out there?! i'll be around the cherbourg area. i was looking at nez bayard and around there....but it didnt say if there was any where to hire gear.
