Suggestion for one day: Go to the quarter called Paradiso but only if the weather is fine. The is a little train climbing up a mountian to the top with an amazing view over the city and the lake. Forget the restaurant up there as the prices are far from god and bad. | 4
Well Lugano is one of the biggest city in the Italian part of Switzerland and also nearly the border to Italy. If you have the possibility to move there are - both sides of the border - is a lot to discover. Try Wikipedai or the tourism offfices from each city, town, village first by Internet and Goggle. | 5
what to do in Lugano, is a question i´ve asked my self a couple of times. you could go to the tourist office and get some leaflets where the nightlife is just happening. i prefer locarno or ascona for visiting, it´s certainly worth a day trip. | 6
It is true that Lugano is a small city however once you have finished exploring it there are plenty of other things to do and see in the area. Ticino is a beautiful area. Don't hesitate to go to Locarno, and also to Bellinzona which offers beautiful castles to visit - not to be missed. Try also a boat ride on the lake - beautiful views on the mountains. If you like hiking, try a hike in the mountains at the border between Switzerland and Italy. | 7
