Suggestions for San Pedro Sula

Want to stay fhe first night in Honduras in San Pedro and am curious about good areas to stay and maybe a good restaurant and bar.

When stuck in SPS, I like Hotel Ejecutivo. It has good security and the staff is friendly and helpful. I don't know much about bars or nightlife there. The hotel restaurant is good enough. In my experience, wandering around SPS after dark is not a good idea. Good luck. Mike

We stayed at the Ejectivo before our flight out of SPS last year based on TT recommendations. The hotel is pretty basic but the rooms are clean and have balconies and the staff was friendly and forgiving of our broken Spanish. It's also easy to catch a cab to the airport directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast was included in the price, but it wasn't much to speak of...cereal, coffee, juice, and milk. I'm not sure of the night life around the area, but a block away is a major US chain hotel that had a pretty nice bar. I don't think you will want to wander much farther than that. Even during the day, we were told by several locals that there are a lot of thieves in the downtown area.
