We have about 8-10 days to spare in the Beijing area. Would anyone recommend a good route to cycle out of Beijing for this time?
Tianjin sounds like it is worth visiting. But also maybe places in the NE of Beijing that mean that we can explore parts of the Great Wall that aren't as busy. Any suggestions?
We dont have camping gear, so we need to be able to find cheap hotels on route.
Thanks for any ideas.

Other than that, the diary is a good one and a fun read. With enuf good photos.
