Staying in Petra Overnight

I see a lot of people posting asking about itineraries here in Jordan. It's my opinion, (and it's just that) that the top site to see and explore in Jordan is without a doubt Petra.
Actually, in all fairness, Petra is probably one of the top things to see in the world, not just Jordan.

To that end, I thought I would share my adventure in Petra, where me and a couple stayed there illegally overnight, on a limestone cliff a couple hundred feet off the ground.

I don't recommend that you do that (we woke up dusty dusty dusty) but definitely think about putting in a few days around Petra and Wadi Musa in your itineraries, and easing back on length of stays in Aqaba/Amman.
