Spanish in Latin america

Hello all,

Do any of you have a recomendation for the following.

I would like to improve my Spanish in Latin America, am very interested in Colombia. Cuba,Venezuela or Panama are second choices. Would like to stay approximately a week to ten days. Economical yet authentic.

Would be interested to arrange a homestay and get to know local culture. Would prefer to avoid, schools with large US student base if possible.
