Sossusvlei camping

Has anyone tried camping out at Sossusvlei after the gates close? Is there a way to stay out there overnight? I know in many places you are not supposed to do so, but I've been successful in a few places where I camped at the edges of the park. Anyone have any insight on this idea?

There's a campsite at the entrance to the park, it's the only place you're allowed to camp.
