Sorry, that should read "Who here thinks Margaret Atwood is weird?"

As a man, I just never had any desire to read her books... Just did not seem my thing.
I did, however, read "The Handmaids Tale" this winter in Thailand.

You know what? I quite liked it... It was weird but I enjoyed it.

As a woman, that's the one I liked about least. I agree that much of her earlier stuff seemed written with a female readership in mind.
But if you liked the science-fictiony ones, you might like "Oryx and Crake", which came out a few years ago. It's weird too.
