Sledding at Korketrekkeren - Info and Review

Day at Korketrekkeren: http://youtu.be/fU9yVgfPJ3o

Having recently been to Oslo for a few days, I would highly recommend doing some sledding at Korketrekkeren if/while there's still snow there. I went there to ski, but decided that I should also give the sledding a try based on the advice of others. Use of the 2km sledding course is free, and high quality sleds/helmets can be rented from around 100-150 NOK per day from two different rental shops near the start of the sled track. There is a metro station at the bottom of the track that will take you back to the top in around 15 minutes. Picking up a 24 hour transit pass for 90 NOK will get you up the mountain from Oslo city center, shuttle you back to the top of the sled run as many times as you can handle, then bring you back down the mountain at the end of the day - great value for money, and one of the best transit systems I've ever experienced. It was also one of the most fun days I've ever had in the snow. I can't recommend it enough. I shot a video that will give you some idea of just how much fun you can expect to have... Happy sledding!

Cool, thanks for sharing!! Must try it next winter!!
