skydive in NZ

Country forums / Australia, New Zealand & Antarctica / New Zealand

i'm looking to take my first jump while in NZ and looking for some recommendations. where's the best location? i was thinking Queenstown might be a good option?

Anywhere you can jump, and the weather is great, JUMP. The weather in these islands, located in the band of westerly winds called the "roaring forties", can change quite quickly. You might not get another chance, or you might want to do it again. Cheers

Taupos also a favoured spot - but 1s advice is good. Grab the moment.

I did a jump in Wanaka: stunning! But the whole of NZ is beautiful- #1 and 2 are right, seize a clear day anywhere!

3

Skidiving the Marlborough Sounds You get to see both the north and sound islands at the same time.

4

I jumped in Nelson... it was awesome there
Queenstown is beuatiful though from up high (i did hang gliding there)
the lake is super pretty.

Oh, jump wherever the weather is good and it is very weather dependent. But I think Taupo has the reputation to be the cheapest.
