Short vacation -need help

Hi,

I live in South Korea and have vacation in October for 4 days. So my friend and I want to go Taiwan to have a relaxed vacation. Is there a good city close to the airport (no more than 4-5 hours) that is really laid back. I want to be around nice mountains, not alot of crowds, and one or two hot springs. Really we would spend most of our time at the resort so any ideas on a nice resort (not over 150 USD a night). I just want to relax and see one hot spring, any ideas????

oops, I forgot to add I would do a beach, too. Any good beach cities would be much appreciated also

What you seem to be describing, less the beach, is the Peitou area outside of Taipei.
