Sharjah-traveling from the ferry port to the airport

hello, has anyone travelled from the ferry port in Sharjah to the airport? I am looking for how long this takes and is there public transport? I am travelling from Iran to sharjah and then onto Kathmandu. I presume they issue visas at the ferry port, i hold a uk passport.
I would be very grateful for any help with this matter.

From the Port in Sharjah to the airport should take you around 30mins - not sure if there's a bus, a taxi would be faster and probably cost around 30-40 AED.

Hi Camelicious, thank you so much for your helpful reply as i am trying to organise a ferry and flight for the same day and it is proving difficult to find the relevant information and yours has helped immensely.

You're welcome. Actually, thinking about it, you should leave at least 45 minutes to be sure of getting to the airport, depending on the time of day you're travelling, traffic can get very blocked on certain roads.
