Share a speedboat from Phuket to Phi Phi on 11 July?Country forums / Thailand / Thailand
My partner and I have exhausted every possible way of getting to our resort (Phi Phi Island Village) on Phi Phi from Phuket, taking into consideration our flight doesn't land till lunchtime, when the public ferries have all finished service for the day. A seaplane, although comparable in price to a speedboat is a little risky in the sense that they can cancel at the last minute due to bad weather and what a pain that would be. So we're thinking our last chance is to hire a speedboat from Phuket to Phi Phi and we're wanting to know if there is anyone else out there wanting to travel from/to the same place on 11 July 2008? Obviously it's much cheaper to hire these boats as a group and there tend to be quite a few people on these forums having problems getting access to the island later in the day. If you're needing to get to Phi Phi at the same time as us, we could do each other a favour and share, so please get in contact. Thanks and happy travels!
If the weather is too bad for the plane, you might want to seriously reconsider if you should be taking a speedboat out to Koh Phi Phi ! | 1
Speedboat not always cheaper with more peeps. | 2
I hope that all works out for you. If not, Phuket is not the worst place in the world to sleep :) re 2: "....Why not take a bus Phuket - Krabi, stay nite in Krabi and Boat to Phi Phi next a.m?..." I don't understand that? If you are at the Phuket airport you can get a bus to Phuket town for 100 baht. Sleep there and they (whoever you buy your boat ticket from) will pick you up in the morning and give you a ride to the boat included in the price of the ticket. Or, if you want to spend the eve on a nice sunset beach, Kata Beach, Phuket is only 5 K from the boat. You would need to get up just a little earlier or take the noon boat. | 3
