Senegal - St Louis or Saly

Hi

I'm visiting Senegal in October for work. I've been twice before so have been to quite a few places around Dakar, I've got a few free days at the start and am thinking about trying to get out of the city a bit. The two options I've thought about are trying to get to S t Louis or staying around Saly and going down to the sine saloum delta.

I land at about 4pm on day one and have to be in Dakar by the evening of day three. I'm aware that I wouldn't be able to get public transport to St Louis the first evening so does anyone have any idea if a taxi would be possible, have a rough idea of costs or have any idea if this is a good idea given even if nothing went wrong it'd be dark on arrival? If possible I'd like to visit djoudi or barbarie park on day two, I'm guessing this wouldn't be too hard to arrange, even if I had to ask a hotel to sort a guide given I'd probably be too late to do it myself when I arrive? Then for day three, does anyone know what times sept places leave to Dakar? Would it be possible to leave at lunch to have the morning in St Louis?

The second idea I imagine would be easier, bus/taxi to Saly area, then I imagine it's easy enough to find a guide to get to sine saloum (given the small amount of time I doubt I can do it on public transport). Again, any ideas how often buses run to Dakar for day three? Or how much a taxi would be?
