Sending things on the buses

Hi,

I am travelling through Argentina on a bike. I am carrying too much stuff at the moment and would love to send some of it ahead of me on the bus. Can you do this in Argentina and how do you go about doing it if you can? Can anyone recommend a company to use? How long do you get before you have to pick your stuff up? I think in Peru you are given up to three months. In Argentina?

Pretty much every bus company has a delivery service ("encomiendas" in Argentinian Spanish). I don't know how long they can hold to your stuff since the primary use is to send it to somebody who picks it up at the destination. If you know what bus company you'll be using, ask for conditions and a quote. Many have online query / quote forms.
