Santorini 7 Day Itinerary! Help!

Hi there,

My girlfriend and I will have a week to spend in Santorini coming up here in June and are looking for ideas of what we need to see and do. We are both very active people and love to explore, but would also like to relax and enjoy vacation too. Any tours, trips, or any other things that are a must?

Also, we only have a place booked for 3 nights in Oia. I am wondering if we should try and stay on another part of the island. Or is it worth it and possible to go to a neighboring island for a day and night?

Oia is beautiful and yes, you can easily stay there all the nights. You CAN go to Ios for a day but it will be very stressfull when you have so short time. I suggest you to rent a car for at least 1 full day, to be able to see and do many of the things I have written on my list. Some places cannot be reached by bus.

In my opinion you have already chosen the best part of the Island to stay. Oia and Imerovigli are the most beautiful places of the island providing a pieceful and "glamourous" feel. In Santorini it's worth to see the "red", the "black" and the "white" beach where you can reach only by boat. Ammoudi is a must place to enjoy traditional dishes ideally in the evening. You can take the steps from Oia or use the asphalt road to reach the place! From Ammoudi you can go to Therasia or even to Nea Kammeni (where the volcano is) by boat. Other islands you can visit are Ios and Folegandros (around 1 hour by sea jet) but undoubtendly Santorini will win your heart!
