San Pedro, Belize: Honeymooners for New Years Eve

My husband and I are going to Belize for our honeymoon. We want to do something fun and go to a bar for NYE, but obviously not the type where we can't hear each other and where most people are looking to hook up. We are pretty sure we are going to be in San Pedro at this time. Any suggestions on bars or NYE parties? I have read posts from last year for backpackers - we aren't backpackers but have done that scene. We are in in upper 20s if that helps. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I usually don't party much on New Year's Eve, but San Pedro has a lot of action that night. There's usually a crowd at Central Park (in the middle of town on Barrier Reef Drive), and the Lion's Den (run by the local Lion's Club) has a big party. The bars and clubs -- like Big Daddy's, Tarzan's, Wet Willy's, Road Kill and Palapa Bar -- are very busy.

Just ask around after you arrive -- there'll be plenty going on.
