salvador to abrolhos

bom dia,
I am living in Salvador for a few months and would like to do some diving, snorkeling, and whale watching off the Abrolhos islands. It seems rather complicated to piece together the trip: flight to Porto Seguro, bus to Teixeira de Freitas, another bus to Caravelas, then a boat to the islands, probably with a night or two spent in between. Has anyone done this trip before (or most of it) and would you be able to kindly share your itinerary with me? If there is a specific charter you can recommend (or not recommend) that would be helpful too.
