Road to LeteciaCountry forums / South America / Colombia
In the middle now of my long ride south. Brooklyn to Buenos Aires. Landed yesterday in Cartagena and I began to think about my route south, I had always intended on traveling down the wast coast and cutting across somewhere in chile. I have reciently found out that there could be a very interesting trek through western Brazil and still comming out into Peru or Bolivia. The trek would start by boarding a boat in Leticia, Colombia and traveling down the amazon for 3 or 4 days to either Manaus or Santarem, Brazil and then we have many options for making our way out. My question is about getting to Leticia. If any one has any advice or knowledege of roads that would be helpful. We are two guys on two 650 japanese enduros, so we can make it through rough stuff. Thanks toro
You need to fly to Leticia. | 1
There is no road to Leticia. But if you made it overland traveling in Colombia I would really like to know. | 2
There is pure jungle to get to Leticia, no roads or even boats to get there. You have to fly from Bogota via www.aerorepublica.com.co or by boat from the Peruvian jungle. | 3
