Rio Rent

Hi,

I did look at past posts about this question. I am leaving for Rio tonight. I will be there for 2.5 months. I am staying somewhere until the 8th of July and then a friend and I wanted to rent an apartment until August 28th. What are the best options for doing this? The Pan-Am games do have me worried but I keep hearing that its more of a "hotel crowd."

What are the best ways to find something and how much do you think it will be? We are looking for something clean but minimal. Nothing fancy.

hi Bianca. Best would be check the 'O Globo" (www.oglobo.globo.com) or go to some of the renting companies for that. Try "Patrimovel" (www.patrimovel.com.br) which is huge. As for the prices, Ipanema and Leblon are quite expensive. Botafogo is cheaper and a good option, so is Flamengo. Price range for theses neighbourhoods would be R$ 500-R$ 1.500 for a nice small apartment.
