Rhine cruises feb / mar

Hi!! I will be visiting Germany next week, I am attending a conference near Frankfurt and after that I got 3 days before travelling home.

I want to know if this time of the year is good for taking a cruise on the Rhine. Any company you can suggest? How long do they take, can I make it as a day trip? Which area in the river is more interesting?

Any other places to visit around? I will be in Montabaur first, later on Heidelberg.
