Renting/Hiring motorbikes in Nha Trang

Country forums / South-East Asia Mainland / Vietnam

Is there a "best" place (scam free, good condition bikes, etc.) to do this in Nha Trang?
Are the bikes straightforward enough to ride or do you have to shift?

And last but not least, where are the best half day trips from Nha Trang (either with bike or without?). Thanks a lot!

Highland Tours next to Vietnam Airlines office around corner from Krazy Kims.

Vietnam is no place to be a moto, as no western road rules apply here.

Make sure you have Travelers Medical Insurance, with Evacuation Insurance,(Get High Risk to cover you on a Moto) as medical care for Trauma is rare, you need to be air evacuated. Xrays and Plastic Surgeons are also rare...

Wear a helmet!

VN is not a place for beginner rider. However if you have some experience riding a bike in any country that would do it in VN just follow the traffic rules of the day. Most accidences happen is the rider do not pay attention on the road, I witness one lady talking on her cell phone while riding and do not see some body in front of her open a car door, she hit the door and pass out right in front of me. another time it was across the consulate of China, as I make a left turn into the consulate, somebody wanted to pass me on my left and there is a big dump truck on the opposite traffic, he scares, fall down and get mad at me as I try to help him to get up. The normal traffic in the city is slow so, it would not get as danger as you travel on the highway which most accidence kill.
