renting a car when entering Nicaragua from CR

We will be heading into Nicaragua from CR next week and will be there for a week or so.

Since there are four of us, it seems like renting a car might be a good idea. Does anyone know where we can rent a car upon entering the country? We will be coming from Liberia on the PanAmerican Hwy.

upon entering nica there is a budget rental office located next to a duty free shop. I rented a car and left it here upon leaving nica to enter costa rica. all and all rates are cheap. a little Suzuki hatchback costs $24 a day with minimal insurance. The big catch is the drop off fee if you drop the rental car at another budget location. I believe it is an additional $45 rental fee. other option if take local buses to San Juan del Sur and here you will find lots of rental offices.
