Hi, | ||
You can travel to Egypt during Ramadan. It shall not affect your trip. | 1
Ramadan is like Christmas in the West : all streets are enlightened, shops are decorated with colourful "Ramadan lamps" and there is a great atmosphere at night, when everyone goes and it anywhere in the street. It's a great time to be in Egypt (as long as you don't let yourself be "enslaved" by your tour guide and locked into shops). There'll be no changes at all for tourism, the touristic sites will be open exactly like during the rest of the year. Simply expect Egyptians to be a little more tense during daytime as they have nithing to eat, and try not to smoke in the middle of the street in front of people as they are not allowed to do it. | 2
