Questions about private car crossing border TZ to Kenya, and current road conditions

I'm planning a trip Dar, TZ to Kilifi thru Tanga/Lunga Lunga end December and then up to Nairobi/Nanyuki. I'll come back to TZ thru Oloitokitok. Total about 12 days. I'm looking for tips on crossing the borders - papers, insurance, etc. and also road conditions. Thanks. (Cross posting this in the Kenya forum)

Hullo Mrtony, boarder crossing in East Africa is easy and most of the roads are very good. You only need to get East African visa which is 100$ certificate of yellow Fever, valued driving permit.
