postage

Country forums / Indian Subcontinent / India

I spent last year living and working in India and I became very close with some of the families I worked with. I would like to write them but hate feeling that would feel obligated to write me back when they truely cannot afford the postage. I want to send them some postage so they can write to me. Does anyone know an internet site or a way to purchase postage in the US to send with my letter to them. If I send them money they would be offended.
thanks

Hello friend,

I really appreciate your thought, but unfortunately as per my knowledge there is no such facility out there on the internet. The best way is to tell them to maol you always.

"Nice people like you change others too" All the best in LIFE

Cheers

Luverne, it is not really expensive to mail letters from India. I would suggest you send them letters but don't indicate that they should write back.

Postage from India is not as expensive, if instead of using envelope and paper, they use an aerogram. I dont know what it sells for now but about 4 years ago, it used to be Rs. 7

Luverne, it would be a good idea to enclose an International Reply Coupon with your letter - enfold it in the sheet/s of your letter so that it is not visible through the envelope. See this link for more info: http://pib.nic.in/archieve/lreleng/l0299/r120299.html

Good luck.
