Hi, I have just read if you want reach Philippines from 1° January 2017 you need an electrocin passport. Is it true? I have a normal passport (not with chip) and I will have to reach Philippijes in 20 days. I'm worried because I have just paid a lot of things. Thanks for some info.

There should not be any problems with your non-chip passport. It's still a valid passport. I entered the country through Manila late last month and didn't see any immigration desks being set up to handle electronic passports only. Getting a taxi at the airport at any time of the night is easy. Just make sure you join the taxi queue and have the licence plate number of the taxi recorded at the small desk at the head of the queue. You will be given a copy of the paperwork with the licence plate number on it. There is a shuttle bus going to some, or all the other terminals but I don't know the schedule. | 4
