phi phi

hi, can anyone tell me the best way to get to phi phi.
fly to phuket or krabi

Either location will get you there.

Either is fine. Krabi is closer and I would say an easier airport to use. Phuket is more commonly used but it can be a nightmare coming through their immigration.

more flights into phuket, and often cheaper than krabi

Krabi is less gouging on the prices and touts, taxis etc. For example, they wanted 10 TIMES the Bangkok for bottled water in the Phuket airport. Maybe a small point but it introduces you to the attitude there real fast.

I have written quite a lot on getting to PP from both Krabi and Phuket airports to the PP ferries at the bottom of my PP info thingy in the second link below.

It is a lot further to the pier from Phuket airport, but unless the Krabi airport shutttle is running, taxi costs will be much the same. As said above, there are more flights into Phuket.
Depends too on ferry departure times vs flight arrival times. Note some timetables show a 4pm ferry from Krabi - apparantly this did not run last dry season - there was one PM ferry, at 1500. Might be worth checking if you are aiming for an afternoon ferry out of Krabi.
