Does anyone know if theres a ferry between the malaysian peninsular and sarawak?
Ive had a bit of a look round on the net and it sounds like there used to be one but is it still running and how long does it take /how much is it.any info would be great

People choose to fly these days, either from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching or to Kota Kinabalu, or from Johor or those with $$$ from Singapore.
Yachties might take people I don't know for sure, Might being the operative word. No promises.
Its not a done thing, I think I heard the ferry didn't make money.

| mattkl22:59 UTC18 Jul 2007 | At one time (at least 15 years ago) there was this "Feri Malaysia" connecting Peninsular malaysia wuth Sabah & Sarawak, but it was a loss making operation. The Malaysian government tried to revive it 2 years ago with participation from a private company but the project has yet to take off.
So your alternative is to fly.
