Pay upfront for Ban Sabai or Elephant Crossing in Van Vieng

I asked this at the end of someones thread but thought I would give the question its own - so as not to be missed....

Ban Sabai or Elephant Crossing? - which one gets the vote as they are the 2 we are tossing up between.

The problem I have is that Ban Sabai is asking for deposit or full payment for Jan booking but as Ive read so many postings of rooms not being available at different places on arrival that Im not happy doing this... BUT... we really wanted to stay there.!!!!!.hee....

We can book Elephant Crossing up the road with no problem or hassle - should we go with this or should we trust that Ban Sabai will have our riverside bungalow sitting waiting nicely for us when we arrive?(if we pay upfront that is)

well, they are actualy next door to each other and you can see one from the othere.

one is bungalsows with nice food and good views.

the other, and i am bias as I like Rachel, is a hotel with wifi and great views and more peopel to interact with although space to be on your own.

with ban sai, if you book and pay i am sure they will hold the room. they are a good firm.

its if you want hotel or bungalow.
