| paulau19:51 UTC14 Apr 2007 | Hi,
I read an article a while ago about a shopping area in/near tokyo which had artists and more non-mainstream items for sale. If i remember correctly it was set in an older area. Anyone got any ideas on where this is?
Thanks, Paul

Get of the metro walk away from the park and there are several streets with nice small shops including second hand stuff. Out the station cross the road turn left and the side streets to the right from here. not sure if this is what you were looking for.

Secondhand clothing shops and maybe other unusual items can be found in Shimo-Kitazawa, just 8-11 minutes from Shinjuku on the Odakyu line.

Google'd Shimo Kitazawa and its not it, it wasn't situated in an area that large from memory and looked more retro japanese than that.

| paulau09:23 UTC16 Apr 2007 | From memory it was younger artists selling trendy so to speak fashion, general art and similar.
It could have been an area of Tokyo, but it definitely looked like it was out of the central area. I know i'm being super vague here :)
