Paris on a Budget

My sister and two friends are planning a trip to Paris next May. I like to know of the least expensive accomodations,saving money on mass transit,museums,and Louis XIV's palace. For the room between 27-85 euros. Like your replies.

It's pretty easy to save on transport costs if you have an idea of how much you'll be using (or not using) public transport.
