How late is late May? I am hoping to get there just at the end of May at the earliest -- May 30 or 31 (assuming I can get my Tajik visa before I depart in a few weeks).

I plan to start around May 25.
Getting an Tajik visa in Bishkek can take 10 minutes :).

my friend is planning to go to Tajikistan in May 18 and then to Pamirs in May 26-29 .. sometimes in between ... maybe you can fo the trip together? my contact is rus.warren@yahoo.com so let me know if you are interested and i will let know my friend .. he is now in Uzbekistan but will go to tajikistan soon. i have his contacts

I will arrive on May 29 at Dushanbe aiarport, nd then hope to obtain the arival visa.
However, I have no idea how long it would take time, and where I have to apply the GBAO,
after then, I will start to leave for Korogh, Murgab, Sary-Tash and Kashi, China.
I'd rather find some friends to share the car.
