Hello, This building fascinates me and I would really liked to go on a guided tour of it (in English). So far the best website I can find for it in English is the Chamber of Deputies website. However, it does not contain any information on tours or opening dates. Most of the sites I have come across have been tourist reviews and one mentioned that when the parliament is in session tours are only available on weekends. Does anyone have more information on this? I will only be in Bucharest for one day and this is the primary site I would like to see. Thanks!
In spite of the confusing title (Bucharest International Conference Center) , this is the section on the Chamber of Deputies site about visiting the palace;it does have infos on opening hours, prices and guided tours. | 1
Thanks! I'm in Canada right now so don't want to call yet (won't be there for weeks still) but if I call that number for guided tours am I likely to get someone who speaks English? | 2
Hi, I was there a month ago and got an English tour. It was on a saturday, but i think it will be on other days also. The woman behind the desk did speak English, but I don't think she wiil be the one whop answers the phone. Best thing you should do is just go there in the morning, ask for the English tour, and buy your ticket. There are a few tours a day, so maybe you have to wait for the tour off, let's say, two o'clock. But just go there in the morning and you will find out. And by the way, if you approach the palace, go to the right side, because there is the entrance. If you go to the left, you will have to walk a lot to get to the other side :) Matthijs | 3
