Pai - Traditional Thai Massage

I really like the harder style of Thai traditional or medical massage. I regularly go to a Thai massage place right near the south entrance to Thammasat University when I'm in BKK. There are 2 or 3 there.

The LP recommends Mr. Jan's in Pai. I went there and met him and he's a nice old guy but he seems to work only rarely - maybe because it's low season.

I was recommended to Mamalon's (Mama Lon?) and had 2 massages. Its excellent - again for the harder kind of massage. But I'm sure they will go lighter if you ask. Mamalon is a lady in her 50's who works with her daughter who is about 25 or so and some other masseuses. Very pleasant, simple and friendly.
