Oscar Hotel Ho Chi Min

I'm looking for feedback for the Oscar Hotel in Ho Chi Min. I'm also after a website for them, I have searched everywhere but can only find booking agents.

I'm also open for suggestions for other accommodation in Ho Chi Min, under $100AUD per night, though not wanting backpacker hostels.

As alternatives take a look at the Spring Hotel- very central near the opera house: http://www.vietnamonline.com/spring/ or the Elios Hotel, in the funkier Pham Ngu Lao area but not a backpacker hotel: http://www.elioshotel.com.vn/
I have stayed in both and they are very good value for around $50 US

I used to stay at the Oscar a lot and liked it, until they tripled their rates. The rooms were all recently renovated, just make sure you stay at the back of the hotel and higher than the 4th floor because of the noise. Breakfast sucks, but there are three "Pho 24" within spitting distance.
