one entry visa?

Country forums / South-East Asia Mainland / Cambodia

Hi,

I see you can only get a one-entry visa for Cambodia... but what if you want to enter twice? We're thinking of going from Thailand-Cambodia-Vietnam, and either a plane from Hanoi to BKK, or (if we don't have enough time) a bus/train/boat back to BKK via Cambodia....

Do you just buy a new visum at the second entry?

Thanks, Bigskies!

You just pay again when you re-enter Cambodia.

You can get a multiple entry six month or twelve month business visa extension, but I doubt that will suit you.

bigskies - you can obtain a multiple entry visa - for up to 3 - 6 months but the cost is a great deal more than the $20 US it costs on arrival each time so the new one each time in a better deal. Regards Orion_mike

But wouldn't it take LESS time to fly from Hanoi back to BKK, rather than over ground?
I ask only because I will be making the same trip, in the same order, and haven't done much detailed planning yet. -Logan

He doesn't need the expense of a multi-entry visa, he needs simply to buy a new visa if and when he re-enters Cambodia.

Sorry, no multiple entry tourist visas available. However, if you get a Business visa when you first arrive (only $5 extra), then you can leave and re-enter on the same visa. You don't need any special paperwork fro a business visa, just ask and pay your 25 bucks.

It is very straight forward you enter the first time you pay and you enter the second you pay again.

No need to mess around with business visas.

Thanks all of you for your insightful advice!

#4. We're sort of not sure IF we'll be able to get a seat on a flight back to BKK, so we'll try to book a flight Hanoi-BKK in Ho Chi Minh. But I also saw that the distance from Hanoi to BKK is almost as far as from Ho Chi Minh to Bangkok. It just depends on how soon we would be able to be in Hanoi and if the travelling goes as planned (it never does ;-))

The initial business visa you get for $25 is a single-entry. But in possession of it, you can then get a multiple-entry extension good for either six or twelve months and costing respectively around $150 and $280, hardly worth it for one additional entry.

As has already been stated, when you come back the second time, buy another tourist visa. Easy. Done.
