| islandboi32109:09 UTC22 Nov 2007 | Worst and best nuts (from best to worst)
1. Cashews 2. Macademia 3. Pecans 4. Hickory nuts (like a small Pecan) 5. Pistachios 6. Filberts/Hazelnuts 7. Almonds 8. Brazil Nuts 9. Walnuts 10. Walnuts again...

| islandboi32109:10 UTC22 Nov 2007 | PS: Peanuts are okay, too.
| 3 |
| busypelvis09:18 UTC22 Nov 2007 | I don't get the point of cashews. They're tasteless. Like almonds, which are worse because they're tough.
| 4 |
| zoe197909:25 UTC22 Nov 2007 | Yes and Yes. Although cashews are pretty good.
| 5 |
| zoe197909:26 UTC22 Nov 2007 | pine nuts are good. Someone told me once they thought they tasted like pine. I don't get that.
| 6 |
| cocodrilo10:36 UTC22 Nov 2007 | Pistachios? I can take 'em or leave 'em. Cashews are great. Peanuts nice, too! Walnuts & pecans for baking, all the way. ALmonds are OK, unless they go into making anyhting disgusting like marzipan (shudder).

| tribolite14:38 UTC22 Nov 2007 | Best-cashew. Worst-coconuts. Tastyest-Brazil nuts Most strange tasting-ginko nuts

| anonimo14:59 UTC22 Nov 2007 | A thinly-disguised "favorites" listing thread. I'll bite: roasted almonds are good. Black walnuts are disgusting. Peanuts are technically not nuts. Coconuts have their place, but are often abused, such as putting it in rice.

| asmallturnip15:43 UTC22 Nov 2007 | My favorite street food thus far in Laos is sticky rice with coconut steamed in bamboo tubes...
The small deep fried locusts, which taste not unlike peanuts (to stay on topic) come in at a very close second.
The larger ones aren't as pleasant to eat.

| tribolite19:37 UTC22 Nov 2007 | Right now roasting some fresh raw cashew nuts in the microwave oven and should be deliciously done in 4 minutes.Yum. Lot of fresh young as well as mature coconuts on the trees rotting away and going to waste in our garden as the palms are too tall to harvest and too difficult to dehusk. Its cheap and plentiful around here to just buy them freshly grated or as fresh coconut milk/cream.Can't even give them away.

| assagao01:54 UTC23 Nov 2007 | Nut lovers of the world, beware of Aflatoxicosis!.

- b) No
c) If not, I can't decide. Pistaccios are good, but so are almonds, walnuts, macademia nuts, etc.
2. Do you agree that almonds are the worst?
2 c) Not at all. They're great.
| 13 |
| shilgia02:13 UTC23 Nov 2007 | I don't see the point of pecan nuts, though. They are OK, but that's all.
| 14 |
| baz_faz02:18 UTC23 Nov 2007 | Everybody who has been to Marrakech (hello Geeky, Babe, Istanbull) will know how stunning the almonds are.
| 15 |
| cocodrilo02:22 UTC23 Nov 2007 | ...but all the cookies in Morocco taste of almond! Yuck!
| 16 |
| arbon02:37 UTC23 Nov 2007 | I haven't met a nut I didn't like.
Especially fresh roasted.
| 17 |
| big_iain03:57 UTC23 Nov 2007 | cashews are the best, chestnuts are the worst
| 18 |
| drovers_dog04:06 UTC23 Nov 2007 | Does anyone really give an airborne act of sexual congress as to what other other people's preferences in nuts are?
Riveting stuff.
| 19 |
| anonimo19:21 UTC23 Nov 2007 | I'm with #19 on that!
What's your favorite beverage to accompany your favorite nuts?

| 21 |
| tribolite19:49 UTC23 Nov 2007 | #20.#21.Brandy/rum flavoured chilled fresh young coconut water is good too.
