Northern Lights???Country forums / Scandinavia & the Nordics
Hi All, | ||
There's a another NL thread here with plenty of info. In general, to avoid disappointment, it is best to head for a northerly located area preferrably north of Bodø. | 1
..and make sure that it isn't cloudy!!! This is not (completely) nonsence - Norway in general is very cloudy - but GENERALLY more the closer you are to the coast - so any place as close to Finland/Sweden as possible - and way up north gives you the best chances. When there - and perfect weather - and getting a few kms away from city lights - then just croos your finger and hope they are turned ON that night. | 2
best changes: get out of the coast side and take a trip to sweden or finland on a cold day. stay awake all night. | 3
