New years evening in Ghana

Hi

we will arrive an Accra on dec. 26, so we will be in Ghana on new years eve. I would like some advice, on where to spend it. We are not looking for a big party (being in our 40'es), but more for a nice, quite perhaps even romantic place.

Our route may be along the coast, up to Kumasi and through Accra on to Hoe before going on to Togo. It could be the other way (first Kumasi, then).

Any recommendations?

PS: How long time does it take to get a visa for Togo in Accra? Will the embassy be open between christmas and new year?

On the coast in the Christmas Eve and New Year! Abuesi Beach resort used to have christmas party both the Christmast Eve and the new year. The beach party was fantastic and you will get in contact with the local people.
