Need Help for San Blas

Hello together,

i like to travel to San Blas.

My favorite is to stay direct with the locals on a real small island perhaps with the possibility to travel to other small islands.

Can someone recommend a travel agency or something?

Is it a good idea to take a plain or ist it better to take a bus?

Plain to El Porvenir
or where is the best place to start such a trip?

I went to a place called Yandup in Colonia Playon Chico (40 min flight from Panama City)

The hotel is in a tiny island (maybe 100 meters diameter) a few minutes off the coast and there is nothing more. There are only 8 rooms, rustic and simple but charming and comfortable.

We stayed 3 days and each day they take you twice for a excursion. In the mornings you go to an inhabited island to chill on the beach and in the afternoons you go to a more cultural oriented visit to get to know how the Kunas live (visiting the Colonia and the surroundings).

Food was excellent and staff were simply lovely

you can fly from Albrook (Panama City) to Nargana (Corozon de Jesus). Porvenir is closed at the moment or you take the taxi from Panama City to Carti.

Flight around 50 Dollar
Taxi around 35 Dollar

The island Nargana is very nice and after few minutes on uninhabited islands. Boat trip to the island 10,- dollar

Carti is bad. Stinky and you can not swim around this islands. Very polluted water. Boat trip to Porvenir 10,- dollar or dog island 15,- dollar.

The best would be to book a boat for San Blas. The boat picks you up mostly in Porvenir or Nargana. Costs around 150,- US all inclusiv and on an yacht in the caribeean.

IS it correct that the taxi price from panama to Carti is only 35 Dollar?

Can you recommened one yacht for the stay around San Blas.

I took a flight from Panama Albrook (a smaller airport in te city center, no t the big international one) with Air Panama
