Need Barcelona-Puigcerda/La Tour train schedule

Country forums / Western Europe / Spain

I'm going to try this again. I need to know all the departures, in both directions, from Barcelona to/from Puigcerda and La Tour de Carol. The RENFE site is giving me insane results that don't make any sense (two departures one direction but six the other, and no Tour de Carol at all), and neither Rail Europe nor Bahn.de even acknowledge that this line exists! It's the extension of the Rodalies C3 line from Barcelona, but past Vic, it's like all the schedules vanish. Can someone either point me to a correct schedule for Barcelona/Puigcerda/La Tour de Carol or tell me all the departures? Thanks.

The good news is that the route does exist - we used it from Sants to Latour de Carol 2 years ago leaving from Sants shortly after 09:00. I found the schedule quite easily then going through the cercania link on the renfe site.

The bad news is that I've just tried to do it again and failed :-(

Right. This is my problem.

The Cercanias site has no option for Latour. And if you ask for BCN-Puigcerda, it tells you there's two trains in one direction and six in the other, which means four trains a day ... evaporate? Are invented? It makes no sense.

Wasn't my answer clear enough?

Change at Vic or Granollers, which are two large towns in between BCN and Puigcerdà, catch the next train going in the same direction on the same line which stops at your destination. You'll have to make two queries on renfe.es, e.g. first Puigcerdà to Vic, then Vic to BCN.

I suppose it makes sense if the non-stop trains are just an excuse to put trains in position for the next day.
