Namibia in September

Hi everyone!

I need your help to plan the Namibian trip in September 2014. I have few question and hope you can help me.
1. I want to visit Victoria Falls from Zambian side and then take a bus to Windhoek, Namibia. Is that possible? How long does it take? and is it a safe for solo women traveler?
2. I really don't know much about Namibia, haven't done research yet. I will have about 10 days I know that I want to visit is the amazing Orange dunes near the ocean. and also some local village. Is it possible to do that in 10 days?
3. How expensive is the country for travelling? I'm trying to keep low budget if it's possible.

4. How safe is Namibia for solo women backpackers? I'm quit experience traveler, but I have to ask that question before I go.
5. If you could give me some more advices, what I should visit I'd be very grateful!

Do you have 10 days after you reached WDH or does that include Vic Falls?

http://www.namibian.org/ check here for your travel options, I don't think busses go to Sossulsvlei so you might have to book a tour, from WDH to Sossusvlei it's between 6 - 8 hours by car, I think closer to 8, we had an over night at Mariental so I don't really know.

In general Namibia is a very safe country to travel in due to it's low population, I think I read that it's the second lowest population per square meter after Mongolia, but that means you have to take water for at least 2 days and some food, towns and villages are far apart.

Namibia isn't a low budget destination, close to Sossusvlei you have to pay 100,-- € for a lodge, the further away you get the lower the price, camping is an option and equitment can be rented in WDH, that's why I suggested a tour or maybe you can team up with some people and rent a car with a roof top tent.

With regards to visiting Sossusvlei, if you are not renting your own car or teaming up with someone who is, your best bet is a tour. Both of the hostels I stayed in in Windhoek organised camping safaris. Wild dogs safaris was the most common one http://www.wilddog-safaris.com/
Namibia is pretty safe, just the usual being sensible applies. I had no trouble as a solo female traveller. It is not as cheap as other African countries and if you are not willing to camp your costs will shoot up a lot.

Thanks a lot. I'm trying find out information about the visas. Some sources say that Georgian do not need visas, some say that we do. that's makes everything difficult.
