Namibia in October?

Country forums / Africa / Namibia

Hi,

I'm planning a trip to Namibia this year, but between social events and work it looks like early october is going to be the earliest I can arrange my trip for.
Is there still a good chance of seeing alot of animals in the parks even though it's rainy season?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was in Etosha in early October 2007 and saw plenty--it was extremely dry (yes, even drier than usual), so sightings were actually easier than usual.

October is NOT rainy season - it is the opposite. Rainy season is roughly DEC-Feb/March. It will be very dry and warm to hot. It will be excellent game viewing time.

We visitted Namibia in October also. The animals were still there!
