nairobi jomo kenyatta airport info

I like to be prepared when i arrive into a new country, so it's nice to know in advance what we have to do to make it to our hotel especially when we are arriving at 9:00 at night. Can anyone tell me where the ATM is in the airport is it difficult to find and if it uses visa. how do we find a taxi, which companies are reliable. I think we will be staying at the Downtown hotel so how much should the cab fare be?
is there anything else i can expect to make it to my hotel?

its ok arriving at night,ATMS are just in the Airport,and they are all set to use Visa,meaning they accept visa.Taxis are always in the Airport 24-7.you will see them without even asking.

There's an ATM on your left as you you come out of Arrivals. Just in front of it there is a taxi-booking kiosk which I always use. Don't pay anymore than Ksh1000.

If that ATM is out of order there is another one about 50 metres away, to your right as you come out of Arrivals.

Many ATMS just outside of baggage claim area. I highly recommend Jim Cabs---there desk is at the Hertz desk (just outside the baggage claim area again). Their rates may be a little more, but their drivers are highly professional, clean cut, and their cars are spotless (not smoky, clean, working, etc.). I live in Nairobi and have their phone number saved into my cell! If you feel the need to question their rates, they will pull out a laminated sheet that has the pre-printed rates on them. I always like this, as it's a reasonably fair rate, and you're excused from hassling immediatley upon arrival!
